Directorate of Financial Assistance and University Advancement, University of Agriculture Faisalabad and State Bank of Pakistan arranged a seminar on microfinance at Iqbal Auditorium.
The seminar was chaired by SBP DFSD Director Tasleem Qazi, while SBP Chief Manager Faisalabad Waqas Kashif, UAF Financial Assistance Director Dr Hafeez Sadaqat, Deputy Chief Manager Muhammad Akbar, Management Training Officer Qamar Zaman, Dr Khalid Shouq and other notables also spoke on the occasuion. Tasleem Qazi said we have to take measures to polish entrepreneurial skills among the student to become self-employed. He added that poverty and unemployment are one of biggest challenges which we are facing. He said that with start-up companies, the students can become entrepreneurs that will help them to flourish in lives. He said that they are providing the microfinance for studies and business purposes. Dr Hafeez Sadaqat stressed upon the students to think out of the box and start new businesses in order to move the country to new height of economic progress and prosperity. He said that such platform gives opportunity the new start up to showcase their business and a platform for thinking start a business. Waqas Kashif said that the country was blessed with tremendous talent and resources. Now it is our duty to tap the potential. Dr Kahlid Shouq said that an idea can change the life. He urged the students to think out of the box and work for excelling in life and humanity.
