The Faculty of Sciences at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) has been a cornerstone of scientific education and research since its establishment in 1974, evolving from the former Basic Sciences and Arts division following the introduction of the new education policy. Currently the 2nd largest faculty at the University, it comprises eight departments and offers a diverse range of programs across the scientific disciplines. The Faculty of Sciences is committed to providing quality education at all levels. At the main campus, we offer MS degrees in Software Engineering, Computer Science and Bioinformatics, and MPhil degrees in Biochemistry, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Zoology, and Wildlife & Fisheries. Our PhD programs at the main campus cover a wide spectrum of specializations, including Biochemistry, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Zoology, Wildlife and Fisheries. Recognizing the need for accessible education, the Faculty also extends its MPhil programs to constituent colleges at PARS, Toba Tek Singh, Burewala-Vihari and Depalpur (Okara), with specializations in Botany, Chemistry, Physics and Zoology. Furthermore, the Faculty of Sciences offers comprehensive BS programs designed to equip students with strong foundational knowledge and practical skills in pioneering and emerging fields such as Botany, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Zoology, Fisheries, Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Bioinformatics, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. Our faculty is dedicated to advancing the frontiers of knowledge through state-of-the-art laboratories and cutting-edge research. Research within the Faculty spans a wide array of specializations, tackling key challenges and contributing to both national and international scientific communities. The faculty has secured numerous research grants from various funding agencies, enabling our researchers to pursue innovative projects and generate a substantial number of publications in high-impact journals. Beyond academics, the Faculty of Sciences recognizes the importance of holistic development.
