The University of Agriculture Faisalabad arranged poster, writing, and debate competitions in connection with Quaid Day to pay homage to the founder of the country. The events were arranged under the banner of Senior Tutor Office to mark Quaid Day.
In the painting competition, Bakhtawar Maqsood from Fine Arts degree program clinched first position while Anam Afzal from Bio Chemistry Department got the second and Huda Sattar from Computer Sciences Department stood third. In the essay writing, Saman Meeran clinched first position while Asif Ali stood second and Iqrar Aslam got the third position. In the debate contest, Hamza Tariq from Microbiology bagged the first position while Ehtasham Akber from Forestry and Muhammad Rizwan from Agri Business got the second and third position respectively.
Talking to students, UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Iqbal Zafar said that under the leadership of Quaid, a new state for Muslim emerged on the map of the globe in 1947 where the Muslims spend their lives as per injunctions of Islam and Sunnah. He urged the youth to develop faith, honesty and discipline in their lives as per vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He said that the country was achieved after great sacrifices, now it is our duty to move it to new horizon of development and prosperity.
Senior Tutor Dr Athar Javed urged the students to get the education with dedication to make the tomorrow better. He urged them to follow the vision of the Quaid-e-Azam and to work hard for a better future.
