University of Agriculture Faisalabad Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan has urged teaching faculty to work with dedication in order to produce skilled manpower that will help address the issues confronting the country. He was charring the five-day training on orientation of newly inducted faculty at Distance Learning Center, UAF.
He said that innovative ideas, quality research work and effective communication are imperative to address the issues of civil society, farming community and stakeholders on scientific basis and to compete with rest of the world. He said that committed, skilled and trained teachers are the guarantee of a bright future as no nation can make development without the quality education, He urged the teaching community to become self-accountable, and perform their duties effectively by creating the teachers-students friendly environment. He said that UAF was having the talented manpower and teaching community of 700. Out of which, as many as 450 are PhDs. He said that the University was making the all the courses online for the benefit of the students and society as well. He added that the teaching is an art in which the perfection is needed. He said that progress of countries is being determined by their number of brilliant students pursuing higher education. Only the knowledge economies are going to be successful in future. He said that UAF was making all-out efforts to ensure the quality education and research that’s why the UAF had emerged among the top 100 university of the globe in Agri Sciences. Dr Ghulam Murtaza, Dr Adbul Wahid, Dr Ahrar Ahmad, Dr Abdul Khaliq, Dr Hammad., Dr Jafar Jaskani and other notables spoke on the occasion.
