The US Pakistan Center of Advanced Studies in Agriculture and Food Security, University of Agriculture Faisalabad organized a two days training workshop for the teaching assistance titled “digital tools for effective teaching” that concluded on Tuesday.
Chairing the concluding session, USPCAS-AFS Chief of Party Dr Bahsir Ahmad stressed upon the need to adopt modern teaching methods at par with international standards which are basing on technological support. He said that that in the modern era, the world had become a global village. It is the essential to adopt the modern technology for the teaching purpose that ultimately raises the interest of the students in the studies. It will help the students refurbish the God-given skills in enabling environment. Dean Faculty of Agriculture Dr Muhammad Amjad said that with technology in the teaching, we can effectively convey our message. He said technology improves the teaching component by giving the life to the topic. He called for learning from the developed world experiences in this regard. He said that a picture speaks the 1000 world. Dr Nancy J Alien from University of California, USA said that tools make the teaching better. She urged the participants to learn the technology for the teaching purposes that will make the teaching effective. Dr Ghulam Murtaza, Dr Jafar Jaskani, Dr Imran Mumtaz, Dr Ahrar A Khan, Dr Sohail Sajid, Dr Hammad Tahir, Dr Muhammad Yaseen, Dr Ayesha Kiran and other notables also spoke.
