It was stated by UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan while inaugurating the meeting room of Treasurer Office. He said that new IT innovations will be adopted for this purpose along with training of administrative staff . He said that work on the implementation of ERP system was started a couple of years ago with Rs 1300 million but the work was stalled and now it is revived. The work is being done with a large pace. He said that soon all the departments in the university will be connected through the latest system of ERP after through which there will be no need to move the pile of files. He said that this would not only save the time of students and teachers but also reduce unnecessary expenses on stationery. He said that under the ICT project, work on ERP was started six years ago to digitize all the departments of the university which have been fully implemented by now but it is being done at a very fast pace. He called for immediate implementation of new innovations in the administrative financial and examination system, saying that it would not only benefit thousands of our students but also serve the true cause of civil society. Treasurer Umar Saeed Qadri said that UAF was having Rs 9074.303 budget that includes Rs 5805.99 recurring budget, 1239.043 development budget and Rs 2029.27 research budget. Talking about investment portfolio of the UAF, he said that investment portfolio is Rs 3312.087 million including pension fund worth Rs 1969.234 million ; Endowment Fund Rs 1000 million and others. He said that all possible measures were being taken to make the system transparent and efficient for the campus community. He said that they were also taking care of guiding the campus community about tax filing etc. Registrar Tariq Mahmud Gill said that all possible measures were being taken to address the problems of the campus community.
