It was stated by UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Ashraf while addressing the deans and directors meeting. He added that the country was under the grip of different challenges including poverty, low productivity and unemployment. He said that the university was making all out efforts to address the problems of farming community and the agriculture sector. He urged the scientists to come up with tangible research works to combat the challenges. He lauded the measurers of NCOC to fight the pandemic and said that UAF was adopting all measures to beat the pandemic. He said that the UAF was mapping out a comprehensive plan to reopen the classrooms as per SOPs for students in the phases as hybrid system. Initially the classrooms would be opened for research work and higher semesters. Whereas the rest of the students will continue their students online. He praised the works of teaching faculty to ensure academic activities in Covid pandemic as the university adopted all tools of the distance education to continue the journey of knowledge and research work. He said that the students got their courses work, lectures and other reading material online at their homes that did not disrupt their academic activities. He added that in the current times, it was prerequisite to adopt the latest tools in order to compete with the rest of the world
