Good Health and Well-being goal necessitates equitable health and services for communities, provision of innovative healthcare technologies and prevention of public health diseases. The Faculty of Health and Pharmaceutical Sciences at UAF is mandated to play a quintessential role through demand-driven research, innovation, teaching, skill development, capacity building and community service. To comply with the WHO International Health Regulations (IHR) and Global Health initiatives, the Faculty is committed to attain the targets of universal healthcare provision, education, policy and international collaborations. The priority areas of research and innovation are pharmacy, public health, epidemiology, One Health, medicinal plants, nutraceuticals, neurocognitive/mental health research and medical health services. The guidelines of Pharmacy Council of Pakistan, DRAP and HEC are in place. To substitute the import bill of country, indigenous solutions of pharmaceutical production and commercialization are main priorities of the Faculty. The Faculty of Health and Pharmaceutical Sciences mission is to produce skilled graduates, biologics-diagnostics production and public-private entrepreneurial research to contribute in the knowledge-based economy of Pakistan.
