In order to promote competition for the pursuit of excellence among talented and deserving students of the University a scholarship fund has been instituted on the basis of grants obtainable from the Government, Semi Government and Private agencies. With the help of this financial aid, efforts are made to minimize the financial constraints to some extent faced by the students. Besides, various Trusts, Foundations, Zila Councils, Municipal Committees, organizations of repute, philanthropists, grant a considerable number of scholarships to deserving students. A poor boys fund has also been established to give financial aid to indigent students. Resultantly, more than 25 per cent of the total students are benefited.
