University of Kassel-Witzenhausen, Germany will host 3 PhD and 8 MSc students from University of Agriculture Faisalabad under DAAD funded combined study program of International Centre for Development and Decent Work (ICDD). Every year, the recipients of ICDD fellowships will conduct their studies and research in both institutions.

The University of Agriculture Faisalabad is a partner with the University of Kassel- Witzenhausen, Germany in a DAAD funded program of ICDD under which frequent mutual visits, national and international workshops, seminars and conferences will be organized at both institutions. In addition to the students exchange, PhD and MSc fellowships, visiting lectureships and an Ela Bhatt Visiting Professorship, the DAAD has funded a couple collaborative research projects between UAF and University of Kassel for development and decent work in Pakistan under ICDD. To review the progress being made so for, an annual progress review meeting was held at New Syndicate Hall with Prof. Dr. Iqrar A Khan Vice Chancellor in the chair. He expressed his satisfaction over the performance and revealed that he is looking forward to his forthcoming visit to Brazil to attend the extraordinary meeting of ICDD Steering Committee from July 1-7, 2010 where they would likely to hold meeting with the delegations of other institutions under ICDD to explore ways and means of mutual collaborations and cooperation in the field of science & technology.
