Academic Staff Association, University of Agriculture Faisalabad has passed a condemning resolution against holding a competition of blasphemous drawings by Facebook and uploading the same on Youtube and other websites which irked the sentiments of more than two billion Muslims of the world. Condemning resolution tabled by ASA General Secretary Dr. Masood Sadiq Butt in an extraordinary meeting of the association in main masque after Juma Prayers and passed by an overwhelming support by students, academic and administrative staff of the University. Addressing the gathering UAF VC Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan said that anti-Muslim elements were trying to prove the Muslims as extremists by instigating them by repeatedly raising the caricatures issue. He expressed his concerns over using the internet for dirty objectives and termed it cyber terrorism against peace tolerance. Earlier addressing the meeting ASA president Prof. Dr. Iftikhar Hussain said that ugly attempt was a conspiracy of Anti-Muslims to tease the entire Ummah. ASA General Secretary Dr. Masood Sadiq Butt while presenting the condemning resolution urged the democratic government to raise the issue in UN by utilizing its full force. He demanded the government too lodge a strong protest against the unholy incident.
