5-Day University Festival organized by University of Agricultural Faisalabad is being started from March 22nd with cultural and traditional events. Various pro-farmer, full of entertainment and colorful programs have been finalized. A 10-member Indian Delegation headed by Vice Chancellor Punjab Agricultural University Ludhiana, Diplomats, Scientists and Dignitaries from various countries will also attend the Festival.

On the 1st Day of this Festival World Water Day would be held. Mr. Ishak Latucosina, The Ambassador of Indonesia will Chair the Inaugural Session. While MR. Shamas-ul-Mulk, Ex-Chairman Wapda will be the Chief Guest in Closing Ceremony on 24th March. On the same Day Horse & Cattle Show & Milk Competition would be held at Race Course Ground UAF and Mehfil-e-Saama at Iqbal Auditorium by veteran Na’at Khawan Prof. Abdul Rauf Roofi and renowned Qawwal Mujahid Mubarak Ali at 8.00 pm.

On March 23rd Exhibition and Flower Show will be inaugurated at D-ground followed by a Hostel Decoration Competition at 4.00 pm coupled with its prize distribution at 8.00 pm. On March 24th, 2010 the Mega Event would be Kisan Mela at Iqbal Auditorium with other activities like Kabbadi, Tent Pegging/Horse Dance at Race Course Ground. A Cultural Night under Pakistan day Celebrations would also be held at Iqbal Auditorium in evening.

An international Seminar on “Vision for Pakistan’s Agriculture: Challenges and options” will be held in Old Senate Hall on March 25th followed by a Seminar at Floriculture Lab. Former Gover Punjab, Lt. General Khalid Maqbool will be the Chief Guest on the occasion.

Tent pegging/Horse Dance will remain the colorful activity throughout the day and prize distribution ceremony of Milk Competition will be held at Race Course Ground at 7.00 pm. On last day of the Festival March 26th Exhibition and Flower Show will remain open throughout the Day. A Final Prize Distribution Ceremony will be held on the same day to distribute Shields and Prizes among the Winners and Coordinating Staff.
