Scout Group grant annual camp fire and oath-taking ceremony of scout-cabinet members was held at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad. UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Iqrar Ahmed Khan presided over the session while Lt General (r) SP Shahid was the chief guest on the occasion.

Lauding the scouts’ efforts, the vice chancellor said the role being played on the part of scouts can be forgotten. He said that people come, people go but the, who serve for the humanity stay in the hearts of people forever and their names come in the list of great people.

SP Shahid said at the time when Pakistan came into existence, scouts in a ceremony in France waved the flag of our country to express their feeling of happiness, which was praised by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Muahammad Shoab said agriculture university scout are best one not in the Pakistan but across the globe that why they are being given preference during Hujj for serving Hajis. Maqsood Chugthae, Irfan Afzal, Col (r) Hishmat and other notables also spoke on the occasion.
Certificates were distributed among scouts. Chief scout and Sports Chairman Prof Dr Muhammad Sarwar thanked the audience for attending the ceremony.
