One out of every thirteen admission aperients could get the opportunity to become a vibrant part of UAF Agrarians which is a testament of its global ranking and quality of teaching and research. This was stated by UAF VC Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan while addressing the orientation ceremony of undergraduate new comers organized by Agrarian Society here at Iqbal Auditorium on Friday morning.

¬Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan while highlighting the geographic significance and quality of its HRD said that a major chunk of our graduates used to compete for attractive overseas scholarships as out of 3500 HEC scholarships 600 were won by UAF agrarians. Dr. Khan told the new comers that UAF was vigorously pursuing on the way of internationalization and various renowned international universities and organizations have inked MOUs enabling them to work with the best agricultural university of the world.

Earlier, Dean Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Muammad Ashfaq while welcoming the new students, said that UAF is a premier agriculture institution, has played commendable role in the development of new technologies and dissemination of knowledge across the boundaries. He said that university’s research output, production of trained manpower and capacity building of its own staff in collaboration with various funding agencies, inland and abroad is a recognized fact and unique credibility. He claimed that none of agri graduate remained unemployed so new students need to remain vigilant of the emerging national and global challenges confronting to agriculture and he is hopeful that they will witness and open new windows of success in their future endeavors.
