The University of Agriculture, Faisalabad is the oldest Alma mater pursuing agriculturally trained manpower and stands as community builder through its vital role for the betterment of humanity in general and farming community in particular. As such, the University arranges festivals twice a year which are the major activities providing an interactive environment for learning, skills and techniques. Stance of this festivity is garnished with sharing, questioning, discussions, feedback and social interaction among all the stakeholders such as farmers, researchers, teachers, industrialists, entrepreneurs, policy makers and students. The rural community especially small farmers are the real beneficiaries of these festivals. The progressive farmers also get a chance to share their technological and developmental experiences with the participants from all over the country. Activities and events of this festival include agricultural exhibition, kissan convention, international conferences/ workshop/seminars, distribution of seeds and plants, tent pegging, wrestling, kabadi match, buffalo beauty show, fancy bird show, cultural show, mushaira, job fair, milk competition etc. Agricultural exhibition specially will depict the achieved targets and scope for commercialization of the developed technologies. The cultural shows in Iqbal Auditorium, UAF will be a flash for the elevation of this festival for the delight of delegates.
