Department of Anatomy - Overview

An important part of our educational mission is to provide veterinary students with fine introduction to basic morphologic concepts in domestic animals at macroscopic, microscopic and molecular levels, emphasizing structural and functional relationships. A second major goal of the educational mission is the training of graduate students for biomedical career in teaching, research and industry and indirectly creating new knowledge. Techniques used in our laboratories include immunohistochemistry, transmission and scanning electron microscopy, ultrasonography, cell and tissue culture and automated image analysis.
