Prof. Dr. Haq Nawaz Bhatti obtained his M.Sc. degree in 1987 with distinction from the University of the Punjab, Lahore and was awarded 03 Gold Medals. He completed his PhD (2004) degree from University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF) and Postdoctoral training (2007) from the University of Winnipeg, Canada. Dr. Bhatti is involved in teaching and research activities at University of Agriculture, Faisalabad Pakistan since 1989. He has supervised 149 M.Sc, 146 M.Phil. and 27 Ph.D. students. He has more than 400 International (Impact factor) and 55 International/ National (Non-impact factor) publications to his credit with an impact factor of about 1200. His work has been cited for about 16000 times in literature. He has attended 70 International/national conferences, symposia and presented his research work. He has also completed 11 projects and running one research project as PI funded by PAS. He has written 26 books/manuals for graduate and postgraduate students. He is leading Environmental & Material Chemistry research group of the Department and has established well organized Environmental Chemistry Research Laboratory. He has developed indigenous technology for the removal of organic and inorganic pollutants such as heavy metals, synthetic dyes, pesticides etc. from synthetic and real industrial waste water. Moreover, he has also worked on the bio-mineralization/remediation of pollutants using fungal and plant peroxidases which are low cost and environment friendly technology for developing countries. Besides teaching and research, he has been a member of the University Senate, Member of Hall Senate. He has also actively involved in Co-curricular and extra-curricular activities of students at university level, such as Advisor Chemical Society, Hall Superintendent, Associate Hall Warden, Hall Warden (PARS), Chairman Discipline Committee of the University, Fellow Chemical Society of Pakistan, Fellow Pakistan Academy of Sciences, Member American Chemical Society, Member Biochemical Society, UK. He was awarded better incentives for the years 2006, 2007 and 2008 from UAF, Research Productivity Award (RPA) for the year 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013,2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 by PCST, President’s Medal for Technology (2009), HEC Best Teacher Award (2010) PAS Gold medal in Chemistry (2011), Top cited paper awards 2012, 2013 from UAF. Quaid-i-Azam Gold Medal (2019) and Excellent Award (2020) from Tehreek-e- Istehkam Pakistan Council REGD Pakistan. He has been Ranked # 2 in Pakistan (2023) among Top Scientists (Chemistry) by AD Scientific Index, Country Ranking 2023. Recently HEC has awarded him Best Researcher Award (2023) in Physical Sciences. | ||
