The Pakistan Society of Food Scientists and Technologists (PSFST) is the non-profit professional organization of Food Scientists and Technologists in Pakistan. It is affiliated with the Institute of Food Technologists, USA. The Head Office of this Society is located in the National Institute of Food Science and Technology, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad.

Aims and Objectives

  • To promote the cause of food science and technology.
  • To improve the professional competence of food scientists and technologists.
  • To provide professional communication through technical publications and scientific meetings.
  • To encourage education and training at all levels in various fields of food science and technology.
  • To provide a forum for discussion to create links with private sectors, research centers, universities and students by arranging different conferences, seminars, workshops and symposiums on latest updates about food science and technology
  • Publication of society journal “Pakistan Journal of Food Science

Activities
The Society is working to create strong linkages between the private sector (food and allied industries) and the public sector (Universities and research Institutions). It holds on regular basis Annual Food Science Conference and Annual NIFSAT Eve, annually. Student Chapter of the Society actively participates in organizing various extracurricular activates.

Society Journal: Pakistan Journal of Food Sciences
The Society publishes Pakistan Journal of Food Sciences on Quarterly basis.  It is the only food science journal in Pakistan published at the plate form of PSFST. Prof. Dr. Faqir Muhammad Anjum is Editor-in-chief.
