Mission Statement
MS Textile Technology degree program is designed to provide technically trained research oriented post-graduates to the textile industry, research, and educational institutes of Pakistan by imparting an advanced understanding of textile fibres and their processing and emerging textile technologies along with technical training to the students.
Objectives:
The main objectives of the program are:
- To provide advanced knowledge to the students about the whole process of converting fibrous materials into textile end products.
- To develop skills in the students to identify and analyses the appropriate material and production route for a specific end product.
- To develop expertise in the post graduate students to conduct quality evaluation of textile products.
- To develop skills of problem solving, project management and independent research in the post graduate students.
Entry Requirement for Program:
- Minimum 2.5 CGPA.
- B.Sc. Textile Technology / Textile Engineering / M.Sc. Fibre Technology (16 years of schooling) or any relevant field.
- B.Sc. Engineering/ Engineering Technology in Agriculture, Environment, Energy Systems, Chemical and Materials (16 years of schooling) with deficiencies.
- B.S. Physics / B.S. Chemistry (16 years of schooling) with deficiencies.
- B.Sc. (Hons.) Home Economics with deficiencies.

Scope of the Degree Program:
• Job opportunities in textile industry (spinning, dyeing, finishing and knitting mills, man-made fibre production)
• Job opportunities in teaching and research organizations as teachers and research/scientific officers.
• Higher education opportunities Ph.D. in foreign universities.
