Research Intersts: Dr Tariq Aziz has been engaged in teaching and research profession for the last 12 years and currently he is working as Principal/Project Director, Sub-campus UAF at Depalpur, Okara. Dr Aziz was awarded Ph.D. degree in Soil Fertility and Plant Nutrition from University of Agriculture, Faisalabad in 2006. Later on, he did his Post Doc from School of Plant Biology at University of Western Australia in 2010-11. His major research interests are exploitation of genetic variability of agronomic crops against abiotic stresses, particularly nutrient deficiency stress. In addition, he is currently working on synthesis and testing of enhanced efficiency fertilizers. As an active scientist in Soil Sciences, Dr. Aziz has published more than 80 research articles in local and foreign journals and four chapters in various books by Elsevier/Springer publishers. He has produced 36 M.Sc. (Hons.) students and one Ph.D. Currently he is supervising three Ph.D. students and 8 M.Sc. (Hons.) students. Dr. Aziz has won “Best Research Paper Award” from Higher Education Commission of Pakistan twice. He has also won Research Productivity Award from Pakistan Council of Science and Technology. Dr. Aziz is running two funded research projects and has strong collaborations with international colleagues, and has an honorary position of Adjunct Faculty at University of Western Australia.

Research Intersts: Dr Shoaib Ur Rehman is involved in teaching both graduate and postgraduate students and research supervision of MSc and MPhil students. He has completed his bachelor and masters (Hons) studies in Horticulture (1991-98) at the Institute of Horticultural Sciences, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad. He accomplished his doctoral studies (2010-14) at Organic Plant Production and Agroecosystems Research in the Tropics and Subtropics (OPATS) research group of within the Faculty of Organic Agricultural Sciences Witzenhausen, University of Kassel, Germany. Currently he is working at Institute of Horticultural Sciences, University of Agriculture Faisalabad, Pakistan. He has vast experience of off-season vegetable production through tunnel farming and organized several training courses. The author has published several articles in national and international peer reviewed journals and also published four books. His primary research interests encompass identifying different production technologies to mitigate climate change in various agro-eco systems for a sustainable crop production specifically through tunnel farming system, nutrient use management in rhizosphere and resource use efficiency in urban and peri-urban agriculture (UPA) systems. His primary research interests include nutrient and resource use efficiency in urban and peri-urban agriculture (UPA) systems.
