Research Intersts: I am serving as Lecturer in the Department of Clinical Medicine and Surgery, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Pakistan since more than 13 years. I am an enthusiastic, adaptive and fast-learning person with a broad and acute interest to learn more about latest diagnostic tools, nutritional management, quarantine management to control diseases at dairy farms and poultry farms & all the major surgeries especially orthopedic surgeries. I also have worked in many projects regarding mastitis control program as well as in many other projects of using traditional medicine instead of allopathic medicines. Taring work shop in china recently on a moxibustion and acupuncture
Position & Department: Assistant Professor, Department of Clinical Medicine and Surgery, Faculty of Veterinary Science
Research Intersts: Ethno-veterinary medicine. Phytotherapy and other traditional practices used by our village veterinarians (Farmers) for common and important diseases in livestock. Area of interest is further investigation on antioxidant properties of plants used commonly to feed and cure the animals in different ailments.
Research Intersts: Antibiotic residues have gained a major position in public health perspective as emergence of “superbugs” due to antibiotic resistance is talk of the time. Antibiotic tainted milk is one of the major sources for the dissemination of antibiotic residues to human population. Alternatives to antibiotics (non-antibiotic antibacterials) are need of time to cure infectious diseases of dairy animals to avoid this emerging issue. My area of research is use of non-antibiotic antibacterials for treating infectious diseases of animals. Moreover, anesthesiology and soft tissue surgery in small and large animals is my passion so most of my postgraduate students’ research projects relate to wound healing, chemical castration and other surgical related interventions.
Research Intersts: Pakistan being an agriculture based country, major share of country’s GDP is contributed by Agriculture sector. If we bifurcate agriculture sector, more than 60% share is contributed by livestock sector. Dairy animals and dairy products are major components of livestock sector which face many diseases which cause colossal economic losses. Mastitis is one of these leading diseases and its timely and effective treatment can lead to recuperation of these losses. My prime area of research during doctoral degree was use of non-antibiotic antibacterial, oral product for treatment of mastitis in dairy buffaloes. Apart from this, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery in small and large animals, use of radiology as diagnostic tool and anesthesia in animals is my field of interest and my routine research curtails in the aforementioned areas.
Research Intersts: Investigations about zoonotic and infectious diseases of domestic animals are under lime light in my research endeavors. Moreover, use of nanotechnology in wound healing is my recent focus of research.
