Research Intersts: Chemical control is essential in pest management as it helps farmers get rid of certain harmful crop pests. Inappropriate pesticide application, on the other hand, can cause a slew of issues relating to pest management in particular, as well as human health and environmental contamination in general. The development of pesticide resistance is a critical worry, and its mitigation is a new challenge for scientists. My research seeks to identify and comprehend the mechanisms of insect resistance development, as well as to assess the biocidal performance of insecticides against significant pest insects and their toxicity to natural enemies. Determination of insecticide resistance and its diminution is another focus of my research plan. The insecticide toxicity, efficacy and resistance-related projects are being carried out through individual and student research as well as collaborative projects.
