Computing facilities at University Agriculture – Faisalabad are continuously upgrading to keep them in sync with latest market trends. UAF believes that modern IT environment for students, faculty and administration is absolutely essential for providing quality education. To achieve this objective, UAF is in the process to install state-of-the-art ICT infrastructure that will allow easy accessibility to students, faculty, administration, as well as parents and alumni, enabling them to interact with one another.
UAF's IT department (ITRCDB) provides computing facilities to staff, faculty, and students. It also develops plans with objectives and actions that help achieve a highly competitive and technology-intensive environment for the Institute. Some of the services provided by this department include E-mail and Internet Service, IT Help Desk, video conferencing, and lecture recording.
IT Department has in recent years initiated major improvement in IT Infrastructure in order to improve overall network performance, introduce QoS, deployment of latest geo-redundant IP telephony and UTM solution to ensure availability, integrity and confidentiality of value able data, voice and video services. Department of Information Technology Resource Center and Data Bank is providing IT services to approximate 45,000 users working at Main as well as Sub-Campuses on 24x7 basis.
ITRCDB is providing following e-services on 24x7 basis using latest routing, switching and compute platform through dedicated core technical team having professional level certifications such as PMP, VCP5-DCV, CCNP, ITIL, JNCIA, JNCIS and etc:
- Purpose build Data Center equipped with enterprise class compute and storage nodes for the provision of e-services using high available VMWare and HyperV technologies

- Management, day to day operations and upgradation of UAF Official Website.

- Hostel management system and integration with fee management system for Boarder student records
- Library book management system
- Students card preparation system for DSA department to maintain student record and printing of ID cards
- Surveillance system including high-tech cameras, video wall solution and etc
- Deployment of Attendance Management System, Database Management
- System for Fee & Account section.
- Online Application System to computerized existing record of Controller of Examination.
ITRCDB is in the process to deploy industry leading ERP solution for UAF to implement paper-less culture.
Principal aim of the IT department is to bring state of the Art Technology in to UAF, provide essential services and promote automation. Striving hard to provide essential services the department works day and night to meet end user requirements.
