Centre of Agricultural Biochemistry and Biotechnology (CABB) - Research

CABB is providing facilitated access to cutting-edge scientific technologies for faculty, staff, and graduate students of the University of Agriculture as well as collaborators nationwide. The Centre has several research domains, which include synthetic biology and chloroplast molecular biotechnology, transgenic development, virology, germplasm characterization using OMICS approaches, somatic hybrid development, plant-pathogen interaction and diagnostic facilities for GMO detection and dengue characterization.
Following are envisioned research areas at CABB:

    • Transgenic research
    • Biopharming and diagnostic
    • OMICS Research
    • Translational Research
    • Host-pathogen interaction
    • Applied synthetic biology
    • Somatic cell hybrid technology
