Vice Chancellor 's Message


Sustainable Development Goals (2015-2030) have earmarked the direction of R&D Institutes and Professional/Research Universities like the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF). Being world acclaimed institution of higher learning, UAF feels its obligatory responsibility to ensure food security in the country, alleviate poverty, provide impactful education to under-privileged areas and mitigate the national issues like energy, water shortage and climate change. UAF is determined to minimize inequalities, achieve enhanced industrial production through ample raw material and make efforts for social wellbeing of all members of the society within its resources. Rural development with boosted job opportunities and engagement of rural women in diversified rural activities is the prime aim of the University. UAF will work as an engine of rural economy with its significant role in the national efforts to improve per acre yields of agricultural crops and value addition of agricultural commodities to secure foreign exchange under the arena of GSP+. Government of Pakistan considers that agriculture is and shall remain the lifeline of Pakistan’s economy where UAF will leave no stone unturned to transform the vision of the Prime Minister into reality to make Pakistan Green, clean and prosperous with emerging economy.
