He addressed farewell party of four security guards including gate keepers Niamat Ali, Abdul Hafeez, Javaid Massih, Muhammad Gulzar, and Rafique Massih at the Student Teacher Center.
The Vice Chancellor directed the varsity security staff to ensure the foolproof arrangements to safeguard the lives of the campus community. He urged them to put a special focus on ethics in order to give due respects to visitors as well as to maintain self-respect. He said that all possible measures were being taken and resources were being provided to ensure the foolproof security with capable and trained staff. He said that we have to develop the spirit of ownership and have to perform our duties with hardworking and dedication. He added that under the unprecedented movement led by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the country was achieved after the great sacrifices. Now the responsibility lies on our shoulders to move the country to the new heights of progress and prosperity. He lauded the action and measures taken on the part of Pakistan Army to ward off terrorism from the country.
Principal Officer Estate Management Dr Haroon Zaman said that the university was having the competent security staff. There is a need to improve their service structure. He said that they had conducted the various training sessions for the capacity building of the security staff especially to react in difficult time. The retired security personnel were awarded special gifts by the Vice Chancellor. The ceremony lauded the services of the retired security guards who worked with full dedication, honesty and hardworking.
