Like other part of the country, the Kashmir Solidarity Day was observed at the University of Agriculture to show solidarity with Kashmiris in their struggle for freedom.
The event arranged by Public Relations and Publications Department and Senior Tutor Office was chaired by UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Iqbal Zafar. A rally was also taken out from Admin Block to express support to the Kashmiris in the struggle for their inalienable right to self-determination under the United Nations (UN) resolution. They gathering also paid homage to the sacrifices of the people of Kashmir. The students also presented the mili nagmas and skits on the struggle of Kasmiris. Dr Iqbal Zafar said that we support people of Kashmir, and urged the world to take note of atrocities by India in Indian Occupied Kashmir. He said that the no one can defeat the movement of Kashmiri based on many decades. He said massive sacrifices rendered by the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK) must not go in vain. He said that right to self-determination of Indian Occupied Kashmir must be urgently accepted and dispute must be settled in accordance with the resolutions adopted by United Nations' Security Council. He condemned India for brutally torture in Indian Held Kashmir.
