Speakers at a seminar urged the youth to understand the messages of Allama Iqbal that will move the county towards development and prosperity.
The Seminar in connection with Iqbal day was arranged by the Senior Tutor Office, University of Agriculture Faisalabad at the Students Teachers Center, UAF. Iqbal widely recognised as “Poet of the East” and the conceiver of idea of a separate state for Muslim Pakistan. UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan said that youth must be educated about the philosophy of “Khudi” and they must try to understand Allama Iqbal’s this concept. He said that the teachings of Allama Iqbal paves ways to maintain tolerance, peace and stability in the society. He said that the country was achieved after the great sacrifices. Now, it is our duty to move the country towards the development and prosperity. He stressed upon the all segments of the society to play their active role for the uplift of the county so that poverty can be alleviated and the targets of developments could be achieved. Senior Tutor Dr Athar Javed urged the students to take all possible steps for the development and prosperity of the country as per vision of Allama Iqbal. He said that the education is the best tool to steer the country out from the clutches of different challenges. Dr Tahir Siddique said that Iqbal’s philosophical approach saves the Muslims from degradation, deprivation and destitute living. He said he is a source of strength and guidance for the nation.
